One surprise I discovered is that people I barely know have attempted smear attacks on me.
There is apparently a story where I appear to be the target of a smear disguised as a joke but does not mention my name. I learned this from third-parties accidentally. I have not seen the full smear distraction tactic but I decided on a limited response while I await more information.
Before I even see the smear, I should highlight that the only entity I could imagine doing this are airline employees who identified themselves as working for KLM Dutch Airlines (and wear light blue uniforms) or entities connected to them. During the 2021 Covid pandemic lockdown, I sat with a laptop by the pool at the hotel where I was staying and wore a mask to avoid talking to airline employees, who were also hotel guests, as a Covid precaution especially because they did not wear masks even though vaccines were not widely available at the time. I also wanted to make it clear I was just there for a few hours of sunlight. They named me “Laptop Guy” after referring to me as the “Black Guy” earlier. Sometimes they referred to me as “the mask guy” as if it was unusual to wear a Covid mask before vaccines were widely available. They harassed me, stalked me, came to my hotel room door uninvited and took pictures of me at the pool. So, even though I have not seen the smear, I remembered the “Laptop Guy” label.
From the little I have heard, it seems the smear might be a technological manipulation or exaggerated joke meant to manipulate a community as if something happened since people seemed to be laughing. The smear attack has been transmitted surreptitiously to hotels I stay at on trips and restaurants I frequent. The sender of the smear pretended to not know me even after breaching my personal information. That said, I still have to find out who sent the smear attack.
I think the main aim of the sender was hoping that the smear works even though it’s outrageous instead of talking about the harassment and stalking issue highlighted in this note.
If I was the target, the sender has to know me. This would immediately disqualify the story as untrue because the sender pretends not to know me. It seems the smear scam creates a false situation, then tries to at least tie some of my identity to it while pretending not to know me in the hopes of distracting the recipient from the scam and the intentions of the sender. The sender sent the smear to places where I am known hoping I won’t hear about it and in some cases apparently even offered to come identify me if seen. This attempt to distract the recipient fails under basic logical analysis. For instance, is it unusual for someone to sit at a pool during the pandemic lockdown? Would it make sense for someone to socialize with strangers at the pool when Covid vaccines are not widely available? Apparently, a similar smear attack was sent to hotels and restaurants I frequented in a foreign country this past June within 72 hours after my second complaint regarding their behavior. An entity assigned men to start following me.
Misdirection Attempt
Thus, this is a misdirection attempt. I have put below some of the things they did. I am still thinking I am living on another planet where people can harass, stalk, violate the security and privacy of an individual then on top of that launch a smear attack. I should highlight the majority of people who identified themselves as working for KLM did not participate in the behavior highlighted below but the participants seemed to have outsize influence.
Security & Privacy Violation
They speculated about my sexuality.
They named me “Laptop Guy” for working on my laptop, wrote detailed descriptions of how I look and took pictures of me without my consent.
Stalking and taking pictures of me continued in New York, Johannesburg and Washington D.C..
They mocked me for ordering seafood (a black guy ordered calamari…haha).
They mocked my dressing (he dresses as if he is not black).
Some complained for not socializing with them.
Some of them wanted to socialize with me and I hope they did not contribute to the smear attack since I didn’t accept the invitation.
One of them seemed scared of black people. When I got back to my seat and she was 2 seats away, she jumped as if she had seen something dangerous then complained to her colleague. She asked me a few questions and after I moved a few seats further away, she suggested to her colleague I was not heterosexual. I speculate she might have thought I was interested in her earlier until I moved even though she was old enough to be my mother.
They obtained my hotel room number and came to my door 3 consecutive days - 3 pairs of women and at some point bigger groups.
They obtained key cards to my hotel room and entered my room when I was not around. One of them came when I was inside. I thought it might have been a genuine mistake but learned they had done that at least a few times.
They compared me to someone who robbed them in Brazil.
They apparently incited other establishments to violate my security and privacy by apparently asking establishments such as restaurants to alert them if I visited and then promising to visit those establishments and possibly identify me as if they didn’t already know me.
Questions
What would have happened if I took pictures of Dutch women at the pool and then wrote detailed descriptions of how they look? Is it okay for them to take pictures of me and write down details of how I look?
What would have happened if I obtained the hotel room number of a Dutch guest and went to her hotel room door uninvited? Is it okay for them to come to my room uninvited by somehow obtaining my hotel room number from other sources?
What would have happened if I obtained a key card to the hotel room of a Dutch guest and then entered her room?
In Conclusion
They apparently commit offenses overseas and they have a team of lawyers who try methods such as smearing their victims instead of asking them to behave well. In fact, I was tipped that an international law firm was coordinating a smear attack against me.
Crucially, this is a warning to other travelers to remember my story. Their behavior has apparently included sending my personal information to other entities as if they don’t know me, then asking those entities to contact them if I visit and promising them a visit. You heard that right, people who obtained my hotel room information and entered uninvited are pretending to not know me. According to my sources, after they arrange to come visit for instance the restaurant, they will wait until I leave and then go to the restaurant staff - that’s the “Laptop Guy” and sometimes when they leave early, they signal to the restaurant staff that this is the “Laptop Guy”. And on July 3rd, a Dutch speaking lady who I presume to be from KLM came to my hotel to smear me and my sources suggested they had information where I would stay. She didn’t know I had some people watching. She was trying a well known tactic of trying to manufacture partners in a smear game. It will not work. This suggests some hotels may cooperate in violating the security and privacy of people they target wittingly or unwittingly. Instead of this shameless behavior, these perpetrators should stop stalking and harassing hotel guests and taking their pictures.
